We very much employ a team approach to your care at Basingstoke Orthodontics. We are led by our Specialist Orthodontist Dr Beth Richardson who oversees all the treatments and especially all the planning. Beth then works very closely with her team of highly trained Orthodontic Therapists and Nurses to deliver exceptional care as well as customer service.

Beth has had a varied career starting off in the hospital service with a strong Oral Surgery background. She then experienced General Practice in the Borders of Scotland completing Vocational Training there before deciding she would like to travel and have some adventure.
Beth then joined the British Army and began Officer training at Sandhurst in 2001. Her Army career spanned 14 years, and included time serving overseas in Germany, the Falkland Islands, Bosnia and Iraq. In 2007, she was chosen as the military candidate to undertake Specialist Orthodontic training, returning for this to Birmingham Dental Hospital. Specialist training is 3 years of full time further study in Orthodontics, including completion of a research Masters in Philosophy. Dr Beth’s area of research was in bonding of orthodontic appliances to enamel surfaces, something that helps her every day in her practice life.
In 2010, Dr Beth completed her orthodontic training and took up post as the Lead Orthodontist at the Centre for Restorative Dentistry in Aldershot, Hampshire; the CRD is a Military facility treating complex cases requiring rehabilitation following traumatic tooth loss as a result of Military Service.
In 2015 Beth retired from the Armed Services and became Principal of Basingstoke Orthodontics. The practice is well established, having been in existence for 23 years.Beth has taken Basingstoke Orthodontics into the digital age and continues to develop the practice to have the most up to date and technical treatments, offering great customer care to her patients.
When not perfecting your smiles Beth is a keen runner and swimmer and has a busy family life with two daughters. Basingstoke Orthodontics really is a family affair, Beth’s husband Brian, is also the practice’s Business Manager.
