invisalign clear aligners in basingstoke

Invisalign Teen

We are able to treat teenagers with Invisalign Teen, this is particularly popular with those who participate in a lot of sports and are concerned with the appearance of wires and brackets. Invisalign Teen has the same process as adult Invisalign in that teeth are scanned using our Itero scanner, no impressions needed, and then a digital three dimensional image of your teeth is available to view and construct the near invisible aligners around.

As with all Invisalign treatments, aligners are changed every few weeks as teeth gradually and gently move into their ideal position. We check your progress every 10-12 weeks

Invisalign treatments vary in length from a few weeks to several months, when we discuss your treatment options we are able to estimate your treatment time which allows you to plan around any important events.

Invisalign First

We even have a new treatment for children who are too young for conventional orthodontics but may need some minor changes whilst in the mixed adult and child dentition. At time of writing Dr Beth Richardson is currently treating her own child using this method, do ask her about her experiences.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our experienced orthodontists answer your frequently asked questions about Invisalign

Is Invisalign painful?

Invisalign uses very gently pressure to move teeth into alignment so there is very little discomfort. You will be aware of the aligners to start with but after a few days you will soon forget they are there.

How long does treatment take?

Treatment times depend on the type and amount of tooth movements we are needing to use. A simple crooked tooth may move within a matter of weeks, more complex movements may take several months. The beauty with this digital treatment planning is that we are able to estimate how long your treatment will take.

How much does Invisalign cost?

Invisalign aligners cost between £1750 and £3000 depending on the types  of movement required. Our team will spend time to ensure you have a good guide as to your treatment costs before you start any treatment.

Will I need to wear a retainer?

After your Invisalign is complete, there remains a possibility that your teeth may move back towards their original position. This is called relapse. To stop this happening you will receive three sets of Vivero retainers with full instructions as to wear time.
